If former U.S. President Donald Trump returns to the White House, his administration would likely deprioritize supporting Ukraine in favor of other policy priorities, likely decreasing Kyiv's negotiating leverage vis-a-vis Russia and risking continued or future war. Trump has expressed skepticism toward U.S. financial and military support for Ukraine, and his candidate for Vice President, Ohio Senator J.D.
