Previewing Pakistan's Parliamentary Elections

In the likely case that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif wins Pakistan's general elections, he will prioritize managing the country's economic crisis by adhering to unpopular austerity measures, seeking foreign aid, and balancing relations with China, the United States and India. On Feb. 8, Pakistani voters will head to the polls for parliamentary elections that will determine the country's next prime minister.
