Clara Brackbill is a Sub-Saharan Africa Analyst at RANE. She recently received her master's in International Security Policy from Columbia University. Previously, Clara worked as a speechwriter and policy adviser for the Albanian ambassador to the United Nations and at the Saltzman Institute of War and Peace Studies. Clara graduated with her bachelor’s in political science from Loyola Marymount University, where she was captain of the women's rowing team and published research on the fallout from the NATO intervention in Libya. She currently lives in New York. In her free time, Clara loves to travel, cook, eat at new city restaurants, spend time with friends and family, and play with her dog, Josie.
